Introduction: “Raku-Raku Monitor 3”

Everyone, thank you for always watching “This is TAKISAWA”!

Since we started writing articles, we have received a lot of feedback, which has really motivated us!!

This time, we will introduce the Raku-Raku Monitor 3!

What is “Raku-Raku Monitor 3”:

“Raku-Raku Monitor 3” is a very convenient software that allows you to monitor the machine after just a brief setup. TAKISAWA developed this software to collect operation data such as tool life management, tool wear compensation, and load monitoring.

“Raku-Raku Monitor 3” is a third-generation software system. The “Raku-Raku Monitor” was first introduced back in 2000 and became the best-selling product ever since.

Have you ever had to scrap workpieces due to broken tools?

A single wasted workpiece is not a major issue, but when running with a gantry loader, a bad tool can ruin many workpieces if automatic production continues before it is noticed.

This can be resolved with “Raku-Raku Monitor 3!”

We would like to introduce two major features of “Raku-Raku Monitor 3” in detail.

1. Tool Life Management Function

“How long have we been using this tool?”
“I think the tool is about to be worn out, but I wonder if the drawing dimensions and accuracy are okay…”
Experienced these sorts of situations?

If you use the “Raku-Raku Monitor 3” Tool Life Management Function:

You can manage the tool life by setting tool’s life value and forecast value.

If the tool number and compensation number are the same, the machining program can be left as is!

When a tool’s uses reach the preset tool life or forecast value, a signal will appear to let the operator know that a tool needs to be changed.  Tool life can also be set based on cutting time.

2. Cutting Load Monitoring Function

The cutting load monitoring function measures and monitors the load experienced by each tool during machining. This function notifies the operator by outputting a signal or message when the load reaches a preset “warning” or “abnormal” value.

“I understand that the load value of the tool is monitored during cutting, but do I have to set the warning value and abnormal value myself?”
“I have no idea what the appropriate settings are…”
For anyone with similar thoughts, there is no need to worry.

The cutting load monitoring function has a feature called “Sampling”. Once the sampling is enabled and performed machining, from the measured load value, it will calculate and set the warning values and abnormal values automatically.
*Please note that cutting load is not monitored and thus will not alarm out when sampling is enabled.

That was the introduction of two useful functions!
The Raku-Raku Monitor 3 is a very popular option and we are grateful to have received many compliments from our customers.
Next time, we are planning to introduce machine features using demo videos! Thank You!
