Since being a company with strong ties to the regional community is part of our company's management philosophy, we have always been striving to fulfill our social responsibility.
As a member of the regional community, we are not only concerned with keeping our surroundings clean and helping to make them more beautiful but have also entered an agreement for temporary shelter in case of disasters with the regional neighborhood association, under which we have agreed to provide the facilities of our company as shelter for everyone in case of a disaster.
Furthermore, we invite all pupils of the many schools in the region as well as all local residents to come and pay us a visit at our factory.
The TAKISAWA Baseball Club currently has around 20 active members.
The practice on the nearby sports ground every Saturday and participate in around 10 games a year.
In 2018, they participated in the Takamatsunomiya Cup of the 62th All-Japan Baseball Tournament as representatives of the Chugoku region.
Our company has entered an agreement for temporary shelter in case of disasters with the regional neighborhood association, under which we have agreed to provide part of the facilities of our company as temporary shelter to everyone in the region in case of extraordinary disasters such as flood disasters or earthquakes. Additionally, we are storing supplies such as drinking water, flashlights, first aid kits and medicines, as well as portable toilets so that we can provide these in case of a disaster.
Our company regularly carries out cleaning activities to make sure that the roads and gutters in our surroundings are always kept clean. Every year, our executives and employees also volunteer to participate in the Activity for Beautification of the River Banks of Ashimorigawa (the river which passes through the western part of Okayama City) where we engage in activities such as mowing and picking up garbage together with the local residents.
Pupils from many schools often come to visit and have a look at our factory. The majority of them comes from technical high schools in our prefecture, but we are also visited by pupils from Shikoku and Kyushu.
After visiting our factory, pupils from the local middle school presented our company on their "Newspaper Wall" and sent us their thanks.
On November 11th, 2012, we held a festival on our premises in celebration of our company's 90th anniversary.
People from all over the region as well as our employees gathered to enjoy attractions such as anime character shows, comedy performances, and quiz tournaments, or just take a closer look at the inside of our factory.
